01. Where is the Verhaegen located and what is the best way to get there by car?
The Verhaegen is located in the historic heart of Ghent and is easily accessible by car and public transport. Our address is Oude Houtlei 110. More detailed navigation instructions can be found on the ‘Directions‘ page.
02. Is parking available at The Verhaegen or nearby, and how much does it cost?
Yes, we do have a parking at the price of €30/day. Our parking spots are limited and are subject to availability. There is also a guarded public parking in the immediate vicinity (200m). You can stop the car at our front door where we will help you with your luggage.
03. When can I check in and when do I check out?
Your room will be available any time after 3.00 pm on the day of your arrival. However, if you are in Ghent before that, there is someone at the reception from 1 p.m. Check-in is possible till 09.00 pm
Check-out is by 11.30 a.m. If you decide that you would like to extend your stay or would like to check out later, please contact our reception team for availability and options.
04. Does The Verhaegen have WiFi and how much does it cost?
There is free Wi-Fi with unlimited data available throughout the building, including rooms and suites.
05. Can I change or cancel my booking?
Rooms booked at our regular rate can be cancelled free of charge up to 6.00 pm on the day before your scheduled arrival. Later cancellations will be billed for the first night. It is a good idea to read our full cancellation policy in your reservation confirmation.
05. Does The Verhaegen have a restaurant?
The Verhaegen does not have its own restaurant. We do have agreements with partners in the immediate vicinity so that we can serve dinner in your room. On this page you will also find a list of our warm recommendations.
